This competency make the audience feel that both Benvolio and Mercutio care, but Benvolio has a better way of showing it as he offers Romeo more support.I mobilize that both friendships are good friendships to have, nut Romeo and Benvolios friendship was opera hat because he was a more emotional friend and he cared more for Romeos emotions. Benvolio also shows the audience that he cares a lot for Romeo in a better way than Mercutio does and is more reliable than Mercutio. I think the audience feels that Mercutio doesnt take Romeos feelings seriously sometimes even though he cares a lot but isnt a friend you would rely on. The audience think Romeo and Mercutios is better because Benvolio is in any case serious and isnt as humorous as Mercutio, but Benvolio is really just being m ature and is doing whats best for Romeo.
